This 11-month-old, named Himalaya, has formally settled into her new residence on the Zoo’s purple panda habitat. She involves Buffalo from the Greenville Zoo in Greenville, South Carolina as a part of the Affiliation of Zoo and Aquariums (AZA) Species Survival Plan (SSP) for purple pandas. This program ensures the genetic well being of threatened and endangered species in zoos throughout North America.
